Bucket List

1. Canada

2. Europe

3. Australia & New Zealand

4. Russia

5. Great Wall of China

6. Africa

7. Antarctica

As long as I can remember I have always wanted to travel the world. And as long as the dream has been alive I have always had a bucket list. My bucket list has changed over the years but this is the most recent adaptation. While my bucket list has a majority of different continents on it, there are a few specific places that I would like to go. So in this post I will be going explaining my choices as well as explaining why you yourself should have a bucket list.

1. Canada

Now you are probably thinking that I live in Canada why would it be on my bucket list. Well it's on my bucket list because I have only been as far east as Alberta and as far north as Yukon. I would love to be able to drive across Canada all the way to Prince Edward Island as well as north up to Nunavut. I would love to be able to take 2-3 months and just drive from coast to coast. Now I may be biased but Canada's scenery is amazing and I would love to be able to take the time to travel and take photos.

2. Europe

Now Europe has always been on my bucket list and was just recently dethroned by Canada. I have always had the desire to go to Europe and I hope to soon make that dream a reality. I know Europe is a pretty broad term and there are many countries within it. I want to backpack through Europe so I plan on hitting almost every country. Eventually I hope to take 5-6 months and travel Europe.

3. Australia & New Zealand

Australia & New Zealand just recently made it back onto my bucket list. It was on my list a few years ago but was removed because I didn't think I really wanted to go there. Although I have always wanted to go to the Hobbit set, and I have always had a love for New Zealand scenery so I would love to be able to see that in person. Now I do have some fears about Australia but that goes with my fears of bugs and other animals but I have always wanted to go to the Australia Zoo because I happen to love the Irwin family as well as see Uluru, I have seen pictures of this rock but I would really like to see it in person.

4. Russia

While I was in school we never really learned all that much about Russia. As I got older and started to do my own research I decided that I really want to go to Moscow as well as St. Petersburg. I have always been interested in Russian culture as well, I have a few Russian nesting dolls and would love to be able to learn more about Russia.

5. Great Wall of China

While I have never really had any desire to travel Asia I have always wanted to see The Great Wall of China in person. I think if I was to learn more about Asian countries I may be able to just add Asia onto my bucket list instead of just one area.

6. Africa

I have always wanted to go on a real African safari because I think that's how the African animals (zebra, giraffes, elephants, lions) should be viewed, in the wild not in zoos. Now I know I am contradicting myself because in the Australia & New Zealand section I said I would like to go to the Australia Zoo but that's because of different reasons. I have never really thought about going to Northern Africa as I have always wanted to go to the Southern countries because that's where the majority of the reserves are that make sure that animals don't get poached are. Another place I would love to be able to see is The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary.

7. Antarctica

I know what your thinking, it sounds crazy to want to go to Antarctica right but if I had the opportunity to go I would leave immediately . I can't really explain why I want to go but it has always been on my bucket list and it always will be. Plus I love penguins and I would love to see them in there natural habitat.

But Why Should You Have A Bucket List?

I found that having a bucket list helped me discover what I really wanted in life. I found my desire to learn about new cultures and languages as well. Now while my bucket list is a travel bucket list that does not mean that you have to use it for travel, bucket lists can be useful for anything. I have bucket lists for my blog, work and I had one for school as well as my travel bucket list. So here are the top 10 reasons to have a bucket list of your own.

1. Explore

2. Learn

3. Discover a new talent

4. Learn something new

5. Find a purpose

6. Help you confront your fears

7. Never-ending

8. Gives you a sense of hope

9. Let's you think outside the box

10. Can be for anything (life, work, travel, goals etc.)

So have I convinced you to make a bucket list? If you have a travel bucket list or any other kind, you don't have to share with me what's on it but I would love to see your travel bucket lists. Please leave a comment below or send me an email and I will respond as fast as possible.

See you next time :)
