Now around this time of year you will probably see many posts on social media, etc about how much people love Christmas and you will probably be tired of it by Christmas. This post will be about why I love Christmas, not about the presents but the Christmas season itself.
Now the reason decorations is on my list is because I simply love the lights and the sparkly items. I am a big sparkle girl and I love being able to see what other people come up with for the decoration ideas. I really enjoy decorating and love being able to find some new decorating ideas. Now my absolute decorations are the ones that are homemade or that have sentimental value to them. The commercialized decorations are not my favorite but when it comes to Christmas for kids having the characters that they know can sometimes help with explaining Christmas for them.
I absolutely love Christmas music, I would listen to it year round if I could. I love the upbeat tone of Christmas music. Another thing that I love about Christmas music is that many artists now have been making the original songs their own and are making up new ones for us to love. One group that I really love for Christmas music specifically is Pentatonix.
Especially during the Christmas season I am very thankful for all of my friends and family that I have around me. I love that I am so close to my family that I can see them anytime that I want but I also know how lucky I am because some people don't have that luxury.
I love Christmas movies and I am constantly watching them throughout December. My top 6 are as follows:
1. The Polar Express
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Jim Carrey version)
3. Fred Claus
4. The Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey Version)
5. Arthur Christmas
6. Deck the Halls
Touching on the basis of a lot of children's Christmas movies. I am a big believer in the Spirit of Christmas. Helping those less fortunate then me, being a kind and generous person and having the spirit within myself.
What about you? What are your favorite parts of Christmas? Hope you enjoyed today's post.
See you next time :)
