Super Summer Specials: Non Alcoholic Drinks
Getting into the summer months means that we need to have a cool drink to help refresh us at the end of the day. This post will bring together 7 different recipes that you can give a try this summer. This is part two of my Super Summer Specials Series.

1. Shirley Temple
Ingredients
1 cup Sprite
⅓ cup Orange Juice
2 tbsp. Grenadine Syrup
handful of ice cubes
1 Maraschino Cherry
Instructions
Add a handful of ice cubes to your Mason Jar.
To get the pretty color effect, add ingredients in this order… Pour in Orange Juice, then Sprite, then Grenadine Syrup.
Top with a Maraschino Cherry and you’re done! So easy and SO fun!
2. Virgin Pina Colada
Ingredients
1 cup pineapple juice
1 cup canned coconut milk
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract
8 cups cubed ice
Instructions
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth.
3. CopyCat Disneyland Mint Julep
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
3 tsp lime juice concentrate
3 cups club soda
4 Tbsp creme de menthe syrup (not liqueur) OR 3 drops mint concentrate and 2 Tbsp water
6 oz thawed lemonade concentrate
mint leaves
pineapple slices
maraschino cherries
toothpicks
Instructions
In a saucepan mix sugar and soda over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Add lime juice and lemonade and bring mixture to a boil.
Once boiling, remove from heat and add crem de menthe syrup.
Chill in fridge 30 minutes to an hour
For a 2 cup serving, mix 1/2 cup mixture with 1 1/2 cups of water.
Serve with cherries and pineapple slices on toothpick and mint leaves.
Enjoy!
4. Watermelon Lemonade
Ingredients
4 cup cubed Seedless Watermelon
1/2 cup Sugar
2 cup Water
1/2 cup Lemon Juice
Instructions
Combine sugar and 1/2 cup water and bring to a boil. Stir to dissolve.
Allow to cool.
Place watermelon, sugar syrup and lemon juice in blender. Blend until completely liquefied.
Add remaining 1 1/2 cup water and run to mix.
Chill and serve over ice.
Garnish with watermelon or lemon slices.
5. Strawberry Lemonade
Ingredients
1 1/2 cup sugar
9 cups water
1 1/2 cup lemon juice
1 1/2 cup frozen sliced strawberries thawed or fresh strawberries
Instructions
In a medium pot add the sugar and 1 cup of water up to a boil over medium-high heat.
Set aside and let it cool.
Squeeze your lemons, saving only the juice.
Using a fork mash the strawberries so they are in small pieces.
In a large pitcher, combine the rest of the water, simple syrup, lemon juice, and strawberries.
Serve in a tall glass over ice.
6. Frozen Cherry Limeade
Ingredients
1 can of frozen limeade
1 cup of ice
8 oz of lemon-lime soda
5 oz of cherry limeade
4 oz of the juice from a jar of maraschino cherries
sliced limes
a handful of maraschino cherries
Instructions
Mix the lemon-lime soda, cherry limeade, and cherry juice into a cocktail shaker and shake for about 15 seconds.
Add these ingredients, along with the frozen limeade, cherries, and ice into a blender. I set it on the crush option and blended for about 30-60 seconds.
Pour into mason glasses or something similar.
Add a few maraschino cherries and sliced limes.
Serve.
7. Brazilian Limeade
Ingredients
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
10 limes juiced
5 cups cold water
15 oz can sweet and condensed milk
lime slices for garnish
Instructions
Make a simple syrup by combining sugar and water in a small saucepan. Heat on your stove top just until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and let cool.
Juice your limes.
Combine lime juice, simple syrup, and water in a pitcher. Stir in sweet and condensed milk.
Serve with lots of ice and a lime slice.
