Today I am going to share with you something that I am going to try and do this year. One of my resolutions is to save money and this is a big step in the right direction as long as I can stick with it. Basically I went on pinterest and found a 52 week money saving challenge, I chose one that would work for me; it doesn't mean that it will work for you, but there are lots available for ideas so pick one that best suits you or make up your own.
First off you want to find a container and envelopes that you can use. For me I found this plastic recipe card holder at the dollar store and I made the envelopes myself. You don't have to obviously make the envelopes but I had the supplies to do so.
Next you need to number each envelope 1-52. This is a once a week deposit idea.
On the inside of each envelope I put the amount of money that was supposed to go into each envelope for each week. This envelope was week 1 so it was $5. If you want to use the same idea as me simply message me and I'll send you the link to the pinterest pin.
Then you are going to put your money in and seal up the envelope.
You then want to put the filled envelope at the back of the pile. I added a post-it note to mine so that I know for sure where the 1st envelope was so that I didn't mix them up.
I hope you enjoyed today's post and I hope that you try and d this "challenge" as well for this year.
